Reid Monaghan received a Bachelor of Science in Applied Science and Physics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he was also a collegiate wrestler. He is currently doing graduate work in Applied Apologetics, a multidisciplinary degree involving Philosophy, Biblical studies, and Theology at Southern Theological Seminary.

Reid is the lead pastor for Jacob's Well a church plant in the works coming to central New Jersey. Reid is also a speaker who has addressed students and athletes on various university campuses throughout the United States. He has spoken to college students at such institutions as Brown, North Carolina, Princeton, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest and Yale.
