James Harleman, self-professed Christian and media geek, was born in 1973 and then born again in January 1998, all in Seattle, WA. On staff with Mars Hill Church since January 2001, James has helped serve and lead in one the nation's fastest-growing churches for almost a decade. James has overseen guest services, membership, the public and members' websites, blogs, print publications, programming, and staffing. He teaches classes on Engaging Culture and conducts monthly Film and Theology events, presently serving full time as the Campus Pastor of Mars Hill's Lake City Campus in North Seattle. He’s been married to his delightful Kathryn for just over a decade.
Additionally, James administrates and writes for Cinemagogue, a blog on popular culture including film, television, comic books, and more (his favorite film is Blade Runner). He is currently working on a book exploring the interaction between film and evangelism. James can be reached by emailing james@marshillchurch.org.
