  2. The understandableness of scripture
  3. The usefulness of scripture
  4. The Efficacy of scripture

As our culture becomes increasingly pluralistic, we will more often encounter individuals without any Christian frame of reference. It used to be that Christians might encounter individuals that did not believe in the truth of Easter or Christmas for example. Now, our culture's separation from Christianity is often to the next degree in that individuals we encounter may not have even heard the story of Christmas or Easter. David Bisgrove talks about his church's commitment to bring the gospel to people in our own society who have never had any familiarity with the gospel at all.

  3. Christ over Culture - Roman Catholicism, Christ's reign over nature and grace
  4. Christ and Culture in paradox - parallel ways of life. Culture cannot be redeemed and thus must be overwhelmed
