Resurgence Conference Fall 2007: Continuous Worship

Resurgence is pleased to present the Continuous Worship Conference, driven by the Mars Hill Church music and production team and hosted at the Mars Hill Church Ballard Campus in Seattle, WA. When we speak of "worship" most people associate the word with gatherings of spiritual people in sacred places. In today's church circles worship has become identified almost exclusively with music performed and sung in church service. When we look to scripture we see that this is a tragic reduction of the biblical idea of worship which spans from Genesis to Revelation and encompasses all of life. Worship is the continuous outpouring of all humanity for better or for worse; for God glorifying corporate worship in our churches we must first think biblically about the larger theological context of this defining issue. If we fail to do this we create an idol out of the very thing we are intending which is to glorify God.

The conference will feature Harold M. Best, author of Unceasing Worship and Music through the Eyes of Faith, pastor Mark Driscoll, author of Radical Reformission and Confessions of a Reformission Rev. from Mars Hill Church and worship pastor Tim Smith from Mars Hill Church. The cost of the Resurgence Conference Fall 2007 is $35 if registered before August 31, 2007 and after that date it will be $50.
