Born in Los Angeles, he became a follower of Jesus at the age of 20. He has been married to Susan for 44 years. They have four adult children and seven grand children.

Dave served with The Navigators for 38 years retiring in the fall of 2005. In those years he and Susan served in Southern and Northern California, Sweden, Colorado and Washington.

He is currently one of the pastors at Mars Hill and serves as the Leadership Development Pastor at Mars Hill Orange County. Dave is also a professional coach with Ministry Coaching International, coaching pastors around the country.

Dave is the author of Leaders Who Last and Mistakes Leaders Make. When he is not investing in the next generation of leaders, which he loves doing, Dave reads, works out, watches movies, plays the piano, and listens to music. He also blogs at Leadership From the Heart.
