Film & Theology | Ghost Rider
"It couldn't be any worse than the first one," I convinced myself. . .
And now I know that I shouldn't always listen to that voice in my head. Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance was an artistic nightmare that fails on almost every level—and yet surprisingly hits three biblical truths:
- Total depravity
- The uncomfortable reality that our good deeds apart from a relationship with God are found to be self-serving and self-glorifying
- The only remedy for our condition is the Word of God
It's too bad three great points had to get wrapped in this flaming pile of cinema. A half-star for this dud that ought to be thrown in the hellfire.
