Clash of the Titans: Film & Theology
Once upon a time I played Perseus and Pegasus action figures and dreamed of owning my very own kraken. Now, I'm repenting for the folly of 1981 and embracing the new sword-swinging fantasy of Clash of the Titans, despite its controversial tagline "damn the gods". If our Creator were truly like the petty, capricious deity offered by this film, I'd side with Perseus. In fact, this movie practically begs for a Pauline, Acts 17 sort of post-viewing coffee conversation. For more Film & Theology lectures and movie reviews by Pastor James Harleman, check out cinemagogue.com.
