Raised With Christ: Read a Free Chapter

Read a free chapter (PDF)
Adrian Warnock has been a regular preacher at Jubilee Church London for more than ten years and serves on the church’s leadership team. A medical doctor by trade, Warnock runs a popular Christian blog at adrianwarnock.com. In his recently published book, Raised With Christ: How The Resurrection Changes Everything, Adrian argues that the church has been neglecting the resurrection of Jesus. Christians do believe Jesus is alive today, its just that compared to the constant arguments about the meaning of his death, his resurrection sparks relatively little discussion. Inadvertently, we can become so focused on the good news that Christ died for our sins, that we almost forget he was “raised for our justification” (Romans 4:25) Adrian exhorts Christians not to neglect the resurrection in their teaching and experience. He takes his cue from Acts, where every recorded sermon focuses on Jesus’ resurrection. He stresses that Christians who faithfully proclaim both the death and the bodily resurrection of Jesus, and live out the implications of that message in vibrant, grace-filled churches, will be enabled to reach a world that lives in death’s dark shadow. The power of the risen Christ is active in every true Christian, transforming our lives. Today we are pleased to be able to share a free sample chapter from this book that sets out why Warnock believes we have been neglecting the resurrection.
Here are a couple of endorsements of Adrian’s book:
“The resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead separates Christianity from all mere religion—whatever its form. Christianity without the literal, physical resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead is merely one religion among many. Adrian Warnock points us all to the centrality of the resurrection for every dimension of the Christian life. Adrian is a first-rate communicator and a man whose life demonstrates the joy of Christ’s resurrection. You will be greatly blessed by this book.” –Al Mohler “Jesus is alive! And, as my friend Adrian Warnock will help you learn, this fact changes everything for everyone.” –Mark Driscoll
