In May 2007, Resurgence had the opportunity to participate in and record the content from the first Gospel Coalition conference. In this breakout session from the conference, listen as Andy Davis talks on Cultivating Biblical Meditation and Prayer. Andy starts by laying out a historical framework for meditation and experiencing God based on great godly men like Jonathan Edwards, Martin Luther and D.L. Moody. He also briefly touches on what biblical meditation and prayer is not and then he set about to search scripture for examples and where meditation is commanded and where meditation is commended.
